Twist Las Vegas

First of all, being in the Mandarin Oriental makes the visuals of Twist Las Vegas restaurant truly elegant from the time you pull up to valet to the time you are being seated. One of those elegant visuals will come after the elevator doors open on the 23rd floor, you will step foot into a truly magical place. Incredibly high vaulted ceilings with modern Asian decor, A massive reception desk with the City Center skyline as a backdrop, the hotel bar to the right and a dreamy dimly lit curved hallway leading to the restaurant with beautiful art (butterflies) and elegant teardrop light fixtures hanging from more high vaulted ceilings. The restaurant itself is a work of art.

I really have to be honest when I say in America we don’t always have the best service so I when dining out I don’t hold my breath, but the service at Twist is something I must praise them for. Truly caring staff that was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to help at a moment’s notice.

As for the food, Twist boasts an innovative menu that gives classic French cuisine a modern twist. The menu options change seasonally, but a tasting menu and a la carte options are always available. If I see a tasting menu 99% of the time I will go with the tasting and stick to just that, because they are usually quite filling. Along with the tasting menu we did the master wine pairing, (we chose the boutique small batch wines vs the “big names”) which was absolutely flawless in bringing out the flavors from each course. Every dish was fantastic giving great diversity, sending our palates on a virtual rollercoaster ride, a ride that I would do over and over and over again.

Truly a spectacular meal, from service to food to atmosphere. Everything was white glove. Well deserving of their THREE Michelin stars and at the very top of the best meals I have ever had.
